AMD's Eyefinity technology explored

With the launch of AMD's (and indeed the world's) first DirectX 11 architecture drawing ever closer, so the excitement and interest surrounding this launch is ramping up by the day. Although last week didn't see any details about AMD's next-generation architecture emerge directly to the public (at least, not officially), it did allow us in the press a chance to start talking to you about one of the major new innovations that will accompany this new hardware.

The technology in question has been dubbed "Eyefinity" by AMD - A shift in the way display outputs are supported by the company's graphics boards which opens up some exciting and innovative possibilities.
