OCZ ModXStream Pro 500W power supply review

As we've discussed on many an occasion before, there are a number of considerations when it comes to picking up a new power supply.  The first is your required Wattage to support any system you're building or using with room for potential upgrades, the second is connectivity, and the third is often whether you want a modular power supply or not.

That third point is still a matter of debate amongst enthusiasts in terms of the higher efficiency of non-modular units against the ease of use and lack of clutter allowed by a modular part, and I have to confess that we tend towards the latter more often than not here at Elite Bastards - There are few things worse than a tidy system build spoiled by needless power cables restricting airflow or generally getting in the way.

If you are of a similar mind, then today's review is most likely for you, as we take a look at a 500 Watt unit from OCZ's ModXStream Pro range, offering up a respectable wattage and a neat, modular design.  So, let's take a closer look at what it has to offer in the ever-more crowded world of power supplies.
