ATI Catalyst 10.2 and 10.3 feature preview - CrossFireX profiles and moreWhile AMD's ATI graphics division have continued to churn out new drivers month after months as per their commitment to customers, it's been a while since we've had anything truly new in terms of features and the like to talk about. In fairness, this is a little harsh considering the introduction of both Windows 7 and an entire range of DirectX 11 graphics boards during the second half of 2009, but we're nothing if not tough taskmasters here at Elite Bastards so, much like Oliver Twist, our usual attitude to ATI's ever-improving Catalyst drivers is "Please Sir, can we have some more?".
Thankfully rather than being sent back to our seat with our proverbial bowls empty, this month has seen ATI take our cup and let it floweth over, treating us to an opportunity to take a look at their March driver release (Catalyst 10.3) as it stands and running us through all of the new and exciting features that will be provided in the company's driver releases both this month and next. Perhaps the best news of all is that some of these features are exactly the kind of thing you've been asking about for longer than we remember.
Does this mean that ATI has succeeded in realising all of your graphics driver-related dreams? Come on now, don't pretend that you don't dream about graphics card drivers from time to time, we all know you do... Anyhow, whatever the content of your most lucid dreams, let's see if ATI's driver team can make them come true.
