Sapphire Radeon HD 4890 Vapor-X 1GB video card review

Since the launch of AMD's latest flagship single GPU solution, the Radeon HD 4890, back at the start of April, we've taken a look at no less than three graphics boards utilising AMD's RV790 graphics core.  However, thus far the parts we've been putting under the spotlight have all featured AMD's reference cooling solution.... Until now.

Although the subject of today's review isn't the much vaunted Atomic Vapor-X part, complete with 1GHz core clock, what we have set before us here is the latest board to make use of Sapphire's vapour chamber cooling Vapor-X range, sporting an innovative cooling solution that has never failed to impress us in previous outings on other Sapphire parts.  So, will the Vapor-X name continue to leave us with a smile on our faces today while strapped to a factory overclocked Radeon HD 4890 part?  Read on to find out.
