Zoom X6 wireless ADSL 2/2+ router review

Procuring samples for this web site can happen in strange old circumstances sometimes, and the subject of this review is probably up there amongst the most bizarre yet.  It all began with some posts on our forum, espousing the wonders of a particular ADSL modem - Not so strange in itself, until it was noted that the e-mail address of the user in question belonged to the same company whose products were being evangelised.

So, after some private message and then e-mail discussions with said user, educating them as to the nature of astroturfing and why it is frowned upon, and with lessons hopefully learned as a result, we ended up reaching an agreement on "doing things right" - That is, providing us with a review sample so that we could make up our minds regarding the product in question, and inform our readers accordingly.

So, here we are, with the ADSL modem in question sat in front of us - Is it as good as Zoom hope it to be for its particular price point?  Let's spend some time with it and find out.
