Cyberlink PowerDVD 9 Ultra review

If you're a regular reader here at Elite Bastards, chances are you'll have seen PowerDVD's name popping up quite often, being as it is our first port of call when it comes to testing DVD and/or Blu-Ray playback - Not only that, but it's also been my own personal DVD playback application of choice for quite a while.  We aren't the only ones to go down the Cyberlink route for our optical media playback needs either - Take a look inside most graphics board bundles these days and chances are you'll find a copy of PowerDVD hidden away in there somewhere.

Despite this success, Cyberlink haven't been resting on their laurels, frequently releasing new versions of PowerDVD that boast new or improved features in some shape or form.  While we skipped over using PowerDVD 8 here, recent weeks have seen the launch of PowerDVD 9, so here we are to put it through its paces and see exactly what it brings to the table, making the most of the application's "Ultra" version to enjoy its full suite of functionality.
