GELID Solutions Silent Spirit CPU cooler review

GELID Solutions may be a relative newcomer to the PC cooling hardware market, but thus far we've been really rather impressed with the offerings that have come under our scrutiny, from their GC-1 thermal compound to the pair of 120mm fans we got to check out.

Today marks our third review of a GELID Solutions produce, and arguably their biggest release to date, as the company tries to muscle their way into the massively crowded CPU cooling market with a part suitable for both AMD and Intel's current range of processors.  There's plenty of competition out there in this discipline, particularly in terms of Socket LGA 775 coolers, but once again GELID appear to have brought their own blend of smart engineering to the table to bring to market a cooler with some relatively unique properties, but without breaking the bank when it comes to retail pricing.

"Silent Spirit" sounds like the kind of name you'd expect to see associated with an expensive, luxurious car, but is GELID's offering a Rolls Royce or a Lada of a CPU cooler?  Let's take a look.
