OCZ Dominatrix laser gaming mouse review

It's odd really - Despite all of the gaming hardware that passes through my hands here at Elite Bastards, and regardless of the multitude of games I play either as part of our testing or at my own leisure, all of the systems at my disposal are simply kitted out with trusty old Microsoft optical wheel mice.  Nothing fancy, nothing with a cornucopia of buttons to mash, configure or blame for my gaming failures, just a handful of simple old five-button IntelliMice.

Given my place in the gaming world as a third-class mousizen (I know, it's not a word, but neither is netizen and people get away with that), I jumped at the chance to spend some time with a part that's a little more shall we say "luxurious" than the Microsoft mice I was used to - A part with laser technology, adjustable DPI settings, programmable buttons, and all the other fancy stuff that I've been missing in recent years.  This exciting little package comes courtesy of OCZ's ever-expanding range of products, and in this case the "I wouldn't want to ask for this over the shop counter" named Dominatrix mouse.  So, will it usher me into a brave new world of mousing (that is a word... I think), or will I soon be rushing back to the trusty old IntelliMouse, begging its forgiveness for ever being led astray?  That's exactly what this review is here to find out.
