Sapphire Radeon HD 4870 TOXIC 512MB video card review

While AMD's Radeon HD 4870 requires no further introduction considering the way it's taken its particular portion of the graphics market by storm, one thing we haven't seen perhaps quite as much of as we'd like to are custom solutions based around this SKU.  Aside from the usually route of factory overclocking, there's also room to alleviate users temperature concerns given the high idle and load temperatures of the reference Radeon HD 4870.

Thankfully, the subject of today's review tackles both of these points, with Sapphire's Radeon HD 4870 TOXIC offering both higher clock speeds and a custom-built cooling solution that promises to lower temperatures - Music to our ears, in other words.  We've already examined Sapphire's TOXIC take on the Radeon HD 4850, which did a pretty good job of impressing us, so can the Radeon HD 4870 TOXIC follow in its footsteps?  There's only one way to find out...
