ATP ToughDrive Camo 4GB and EarthDrive 2GB USB flash drive review
While the USB flash drive hasn't quite taken on the role of technological fashion accessory that we've seen from, say, the mobile phone or the MP3 player, it is regardless the kind of thing that more and more people will carry around - Even my own Dad, largely technical Luddite that he is, carries around a 4GB memory stick with him these days. As data becomes ever more important in all walks of our life, so the ability to conveniently carry parts of that data around becomes more useful, allowing people to share, pick up and drop off data without the hassle of printing large documents or photos and dealing with all of the physical connotations of handling paper, CDs, DVDs and so on.
With all of this in mind, evangelising USB flash drives in their own right isn't a hard sell, but this in turn leads to an ever greater need for drive manufacturers to differentiate their offerings. To that end, the subject of today's review is a perfect example of this, as we take a look at a couple of flash memory drives from ATP - One of which is designed to appeal to those likely to give their drive a battering in everyday use, and another manufactured to appeal to the sort of person who walks everywhere and plants a new forest to offset his carbon footprint on the rare occasions he does have to jump into a car.
So, without further ado, let's introduce the ToughDrive Camo 4GB and EarthDrive 2GB, and see what they're all about.
