Sapphire Radeon HD 4850 512MB video card review

Having examined AMD's Radeon HD 4800 series of graphics boards from an architectural perspective upon RV770's official launch over the past couple of weeks, it's now well and truly time to see how it actually performs in the flesh.  While the Radeon HD 4870 is looking to blaze a trailer at a higher price point, it's been left to the Radeon HD 4850 to strut its stuff at the sub-£150 price point which is arguably of most interest to the majority of mainstream gamers.

With that in mind, today we take a look at ATI graphics AIB giant Sapphire's take on the Radeon HD 4850 512MB - We were very excited about these parts when examining them on a theoretical basis, so can the real thing live up to those hefty expectations?  That's exactly what we're here to find out...
