ASUS EN9800GTX TOP video card review

While we try to keep abreast of every major graphics board release we can here at Elite Bastards, for some reason the GeForce 9800 GTX never got our gruelling review treatment until now.  You could put it down to apathy on account of the general lack of excitement surrounding this particular SKU, but we don't really do apathy here, so I'd rather just put it down to simply not having any boards available to test.

However, we do now finally have our hands on a GeForce 9800 GTX-based part, and given that apathy amongst enthusiasts we just mentioned, thank goodness it's a little more than simply a reference clocked board.  Courtesy of the latest in ASUS' range of 'TOP' branded parts, what we have here is a GeForce 9800 GTX with some decent factory overclocks, which promises some impressive performance from a single board until NVIDIA's next-generation GPUs hit the market.

So, does this EN9800GTX part live up to its 'TOP' billing as a high performer?  Read on as we take a look at what it has to offer.
