Galaxy GeForce 8600 GT OC video card reviewIt's been quite a while since we last took a look at a graphics board from NVIDIA AIB partner Galaxy, but it's always great to see one of their creations land up here in the Elite Bastards review dungeon. As well as offering the almost inevitable range of factory overclocked parts, Galaxy have also proved themselves an interesting prospect in the past by offering many of their graphics boards with deviations from the reference cooler, instead choosing to go with designs from some well-respected manufacturers in that field such as Zalman and Cooler Master. Indeed, it's such a part that we'll be taking a look at today (and keep your eyes peeled for another similar offering from Galaxy on these pages in the not too far flung future), courtesy of the company's take on NVIDIA's mid-mid-range offering (if you know what I mean), the GeForce 860 GT OC. A mainstream DirectX 10 graphics board with a cooler created by Cooler Master and some relatively hefty clock speed increases is the order of the day - Sound drool-worthy to you? Regardless, let's press on and see exactly what Galaxy have brought to the table here.
