Page 2 of 9 - Board, bundle and packaging BFG GeForce 7800 GS OC AGPAs I just mentioned, and as it pretty much tradition with all SKUs released by BFG Technologies these days, their GeForce 7800 GS offering is factory overclocked - This consists of an increase of a modest 25MHz on both the reference core and memory clock speed, giving us final clocks of 400MHz core and 625MHz RAM. Click for full-size image As well as that familiar old AGP interface, we also find this board equipped with the standard, single-slot reference cooler on all GeForce 7800-based parts. The AGP interface can't provide anything like enough power for the GeForce 7800 GS, so a four-pin Molex connector is required to feed it the juice it needs. Click for full-size image The rear of the board is dominated by a large heat spreader, which covers the four memory modules housed on this side of the PCB (with the other four in situ on the front, around the core). Click for full-size image In profile, we get a port for TV-out functionality, together with a single dual-link DVI and single 15-pin VGA output. Click for full-size image The memory chips put to use on this card are Samsung's K4J55323QG GDDR3 modules, rated at 1.4 nanoseconds, which translates to 700MHz. Considering this BFG board's memory is only clocked to 625MHz, this potentially gives us plenty of overclocking headroom on the RAM front. Bundle and packagingThe packaging for BFG's GeForce 7800 GS OC is a simple but tasteful affair, decked out in the companies recognisable green and silver colouring. Click for full-size image Perhaps surprisingly for a graphics board dubbed as 'The premium AGP solution', BFG's GeForce 7800 GS OC comes bereft of any game titles to keep its price down. You do however receive a number of free software applications on CD, from firewall software to a virtual CD tool. Naturally, you also receive a CD containing drivers for the graphics board, as well as a copy of NVDVD. Aside from that, we find a Molex splitter cable, DVI to VGA adapter, a couple of BFG case badges and a quick install guide. We don't even get an S-video out cable, which is a little disappointing.
